Strength Training Exercise - Leg Press

The leg press is a good overall leg workout. Multiple leg muscles are incorporated when performing this exercise. In addition to the quadriceps, hamstrings and glutes are also utilized.

Step by step instructions

  1. Sit on machine and place feet shoulder width apart on platform.
  2. Extend legs and release docking lever ( if one is present).
  3. Slowly lower platform until your upper and lower legs make a 90 degree angle. For best form ensure your knees do not extend past your toes.
  4. Return by extending your legs, without locking your knees.
  5. Repeat for desired reps.
