About me
I'm the kind of person who couldn't think up a good "Personal Headline" to save his own life. (5¢ says you figured that one out on your own!)
I clicked here from a Facebook ad and thought it looked great. (I'm still looking for a message board, though, which would be awesome.)
Why I workout
Life is difficult enough just bein' me without the added difficulty of being unhealthy or massively unattractive! I'm not trying to appear to be a body builder, nor to compete and win bicycle races or marathons, I just like to keep fit and to associate with others who feel the same way. It amazes me that so many people think that big butts and bellies are just a part (and an acceptable part!) of aging. Not for me it isn't!
What motivates me to workout
Going two days without a workout sure motivates me to burn some Calories! I firmly believe that it's not the QUALITY of the workouts that matters, it's the QUANTITY of them. Look at it this way: if you were to wake up in the morning and think, "Gosh, I don't FEEL like going to work...so I'm just going to stay home..." you probably wouldn't have a job for very long, would you? Of course not. So when you don't feel like going to work, you get right up anyway, shower, and head out the door. (And after a short while you totally forget about how much you didn't want to go to work [usually].) Well, the WORK attitude should be the WORK OUT attitude as well! You may not feel like doing it, and you may be thinking that it's just going to be a sluggish workout that isn't going to matter, but in my opinion these are the workouts that matter the MOST! If you give into the "I don't feel like it" monster, then pretty soon you're doing what you DO feel like doing instead: Laying on your couch under a blanket in the dark with a pint of ice cream watching a movie. No good!
